New Rennes Star KEOLIS bus depot service station
STAR KEOLIS Rennes has a new service station for its bus depot. The Rennes Métropole federation of communes contracted Erla Technologies SAS to carry out full automation of the STAR KEOLIS bus depot service station.
In order to propose reliable solutions which were easy to use on a day-to-day basis and fitted perfectly within the confines of the existing installations, the Erla Technologies SAS design department carried out a prior technical and functional study and then drew up the specifications requirement for the future equipment in order to meet the client’s requirements and to provide a complete, made-to-measure solution.
The company based in Saint Maurice sur Moselle, following the study phase, produced models of each piece of equipment which needed to be designed or adapted. The finalisation of the project came when the following equipment was installed in the STAR KEOLIS activity zone:
• 11 MODULIS Jetpack dispensers
• 7 security cameras for the activity zone
• 250 onboard GPS modules on buses
All of the solution implemented by Erla Technologies SAS are administered and managed by Epack management and monitoring software.
When drivers enter the depot, the buses are recognised and identified by the Epack camera device. Then when buses enter the refuelling area, they automatically transmit the mileages they have covered via a contactless connection (RFID type); this occurs during the refuelling process (diesel and other fluids). This product and software innovation allows fleet and schedules managers to analyse the diesel consumption of each bus and to monitor the petroleum product supplies.
This patented Erla Technologies SAS solution has also received the approval of other urban passenger transport operators such as RATP or VEOLIA TRANSDEV.

- MOBIPACK mobile service stations: for storage and distribution of hydrocarbons
- The MODULIS fuel pump
- BIOPACK dispensing equipment which mixes and dispense biofuel
- The ETAG dispensing nozzle with automatic vehicle recognition via an RFID chip placed on the tank and a sensor on the nozzle
- Systems which handle Adblue with ADBLUESAT (dispensing equipment) and ADBLUEPACK (specific tank for storing the additive for motor diesel)
