The exclusive device of Epack GPS onboard module which ensures automatic recovery of mileages and routes covered when vehicles come in for refuelling is one of these innovative tools which allow companies to make major economies in terms of fuel.
The Epack GPS module comes in the shape of a small GPS box which is installed in every vehicle. By integrating this connected GPS box, vehicle fleet managers can easily and simply recover data concerning mileages as well as the registered GPS position of every vehicle while they are carrying out journeys.
How does the system work?
When the driver of a lorry, bus or other kind of vehicle arrives at the diesel pump, the data concerning the vehicle’s journey(s) are automatically downloaded without any need for manual intervention. This data is then processed and analysed by the Epack management and monitoring software. The aim: to optimise future routes and to produce estimates of fuel consumption.
